Happy Valentine’s Day! Here is a little desktop wallpaper I’d like to share. This year, in honor of the holiday- I’ve decided to focus on two things: 1. Cherry Blossoms (that are blooming all over here in SF- so pretty) and 2. Encouraging us all to Love the Life You Live. It’s a friendly reminder, we live once, let’s all take advantage of that and make ourselves happy.

Bridging My Favorites Top 10

I love bridges. One of my favorite past times while living in Brooklyn, was walking across ‘my‘ Brooklyn Bridge. Moving from a great east coast one (Brooklyn Bridge) to a great west coast one (Golden Gate), I’ve become really fond of the image in different house hold objects, jewelry, and stationary. Their iconic features now remind me of home, in two different cities. I’ve also included some objects from another bridge with really beautiful architectural features, little London Bridge. New People SF

I am constantly in awe of all the amazing artists making some kick ass paper good/sculptures/art pieces. New People in SF’s Japantown opened fairly recently and their stationary dept has some pretty awesome DIY kits for those who want to give the art of paper a try. For this past holiday (which feels like ages ago already!) I tried to get my craft on.
I made some necklaces and baked goods as gifts and decorated with cut paper. Always fun to de-stress during that hectic season with some therapeutic arts & crafts! My holiday card this year also featured a variation of my newest print, which is available on Etsy here! Happy New Year everyone!

Thread Show Feature: Joy Fabiano

So excited to hit up the Thread Show event this Saturday at the Fort Mason center, in San Francisco. It’s a great opportunity see some emerging artists and new fashion designers. Tons of creative folks getting together to showcase their goods.

Attending the San Diego Thread show is bag and accessory designer, Joy Fabiano. Her eco-friendly products make for one of a kind cool bags, totes and clutches. In addition to make a great green company, 10% of her proceeds go towards a charitable organization chosen via her facebook poll. Take a look at a few favorites here. Meet her down in San Diego from December 5-6th!

Lace Luminaires

This holiday season I’m all about the homemade decorations. There are so many amazing things you can do with some paper, scissors and tape; the possibilities are just endless!

This thanksgiving, I’ve made some lace luminaries! The best part is that most of the items you can find at home. I’ve printed some lace patterns found on the web onto ink-jet friendly vellum sheets. Cut out some strips and wrapped them around my vases. Place a small tea light in the middle and Voilà! So easy and so much fun! For some other lantern ideas on the web click here and here!

Ju-Ju Sauce

One of my newest projects is a label for a home-made chicken marinade called Ju-Ju Sauce. Here are two options I’ve been working on. The idea was to pitch a middle-eastern/french provencal look as well as a more generic label. (a major ingredient is garam masala) I really enjoy working on projects like this, so much ability to flex some creative ideas. Thanks for stopping by!
